Real patient · 9 YR OLD WORKING DOG

9 years old. Two procedures. One anesthesia.

A 9 year old working dog came in for a TPLO. At her age, she was high risk. She held her temperature so well that the team kept her under and did her dental cleaning too.

Dentals are the hardest. The table is steel. The scaler sprays water. Small, older patients cool down fast.

What we see in treatment rooms

  • Vet tape wrapped around the hose, every case
  • Old tubing tied on to hold the blanket
  • Runs to the dryer for hot towels
  • Warmies that go cold
  • Wet cotton that pulls heat away

How it works

A Hot Pocket around your patient

Heat from below. Heat from above. Then a sealed shell holds it all in. Each layer traps the heat of the one under it. Build it from the table up. The step numbers match the diagram.

Textile science

Wet fabric steals heat

Water pulls heat away more than 20 times faster than air. So the fabric touching your patient matters as much as the heat you add.

Water moves heat fast

In one study, young dogs were down to 96.6°F just 45 minutes into surgery after a wet scrub. Cats were at 95.2°F by 35 minutes.

PatientCotton towel: soaks in, stays wet

Cotton soaks it up

Towels hold water against the patient. The wet towel keeps pulling heat out.

Patient stays dryPro-Vet fleece: beads up, rolls off

Our fabric sheds it

A water repellent coating makes fluids bead up and roll off. The fleece dries fast.

Built with The North Face layering science

Linda Tang led global quality assurance at The North Face for 7 years. Her teams made sure the layering, fabrics, and construction held up for athletes on the world's highest peaks.

The Summit system uses that same thinking: warm layers that trap heat, and a sealed shell that keeps wind and water out. Now it keeps your patients warm on the table.

Made in the USA from reclaimed performance fabric. Sewn in California. See Linda's background
