Contingenci® by Good Human & the Pro-Veterinary Line: V-Trough Vet Immobilizer

SAN JOSE, CA, Sep. 23, 2024 -  Contingenci® by Good Human, the first carbon-neutral circular manufacturing facility in San Jose, is dedicated to showcasing the necessity for sustainability and innovation within the veterinary product industry. This goal has been achieved through the creation of the Pro-Veterinary Line, an assortment of beneficial items for clinics developed through the repurposing of deadstock and other upcycled fabrics and garments. These goods aim to support veterinary practices, provide utmost comfortability and productivity for patients and be usable for years to come. 

The V-Trough Vet Immobilizer was designed to make the process of preparing animals for veterinary X-rays and ultrasounds more convenient and comfortable for patients. The product was created as a half hexagon or trapezoid shape with a flat bottom, which is ideal for providing a stable container for the pet to lay. The trough was generated from reclaimed North Face® materials and designed by Contingenci® with the insight of renowned veterinarian Dr. Babcock. 

In order to meet the needs of diverse pet breeds, multiple sizes of the product exist. These three options, small, medium and large, vary greatly in dimension to best serve all patients and gradually increase in price. The smallest version measures 7” W by 15” L by 5” H and retails at $245. The medium size measures 11” W by 24” L by 7” H and costs $345. The largest variant measures 14” W by 36” L by 9” H and sells for $425. All options include two inner waterproof foam liners intended for easy machine washable cleaning and maintenance. All sizings come with a 1-year warranty. 

The V-Trough Vet Immobilizer is made to order and production takes approximately 30 business days. Along with various sizing choices, each product is customizable; clinics can request tailored sized versions of the immobilizer and add their personal veterinary logo to the design. Additionally, consumers can purchase the Warranty Plus Extension for $250 for an additional year of protection to maintain peace of mind and ensure a worthwhile investment. Contingenci® also recommends the Pet Bolster Block and Vet Surgery Round Bolster as supplements to the product.
