Linda and her team have been great to work with! We have done a ton of education on laundry habits and what is needed for different fabrics/fibers. At our first meeting the education Linda offered was invaluable, we already used fleece blankets but were not utilizing them. We have reduced our laundry so much since meeting Linda. I am beyond excited to continue working towards being a more eco-friendly hospital. As a privately-owned small business it is so important to us, not only to provide excellent patient care but also to do what we can to have a positive impact on our community and ecosystem. We aren’t normally in a place to splurge on the new shiny things in VetMed but working with Contingenci has absolutely been worth it.
We’ve been using the cushions and fleece covers since spring. They have absolutely cut down on cage flipping time and laundry. One issue we ran into was for our rabbit patients the hay would get stuck in the fleece. When I brought this issue up to Linda she recommended using the reverse side of the fleece to mitigate the hay getting stuck. She also recommended the brush pictured for hair. Believe it or not, it gets the hay out perfectly too!
These cushions have been absolute game changers. They are easy to use and easy to clean. Linda is an absolute joy to work with, she showed me a trick of using the cushions to get patients out easier. I have depicted this with our trusty Teddy Bear in the video! We have been using the cushions since springtime and absolutely love them. Definitely worth the switch from green mats and towels!
By far the best experience I’ve had when ordering customized items for our hospital. Linda has been truly amazing to work with and has been incredibly accommodating in helping us find the perfect colors and designs for Animal Care Hospital of Walnut Creek.

New system Linda set up for us has made it so easy. I needed a towel for a potty accident at the front desk. Pro blankies have been fantastic for heat keeping. (I was cold and borrowed one)
Love the custom fit. It slides in effortlessly but is also leaves no space for our patients to fall through. It holds warmth for our post op patients and is easy enough to clean because of the many layers of this setup.
I am a private practitioner and was having a lot of issues with laundry! I met Linda just by chance and she showed me wonderful eco friendly solutions! I am so relieved about this I cannot put into words! I support this business wholeheartedly :)

The beds are built to last, easy to clean, foldable, and are very comfortable to lay in. (I haven't slept in it personally but my dog has and she LOVES it!)
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true quality bed that is great for indoor or outdoors and will truly last a long time.
This was a great experience, I learned a lot and had so much fun. Linda, Mark and all the staff made me feel right at home. They are passionate about what they do and inspiring to see the projects they have created through recycled materials. I went home with not one but two toys for my dog and he loved them. Everyone should attend a class at least once, it’s a great learning experience, pet friendly and you might even make a friend or two.

We always have fun with Contingenci at these events. They are always so passionate and helpful. My son really enjoyed making the dog toys, and he was so happy so see our dog Boo play with it! I am proud to support Contingenci’s mission to reduce waste and energy use.
Wonderful addition to our clinic!! The pad fits beautifully on our exam tables. It adds cushion, stays put, towels attach well to the pad, and best of all- pets love them. They are very comfortable. Makes the cold, hard, slippery exam table cozy.
I reached out to Contingenci to host a private offsite event for our company’s in-office Earth Day celebration. Linda and the team truly elevated the experience, helping us better understand the importance of waste reduction and upcycling. We had a great time creating our own custom designs using heat vinyl, and the event was a hit with our team. We hope to make this a recurring tradition for future Earth Days!

The diy workshop was really fun and a great way to support them AND make a great toy! I attended the DYI Pet Toy workshop last Sunday and it was an amazing event. The owner, Linda, and her team were beyond impressive. The passion and dedication to make our planet more sustainable was infectious. And my dog loves her octopus toy that I made for her.

We’ve had the HEXAGON “JAX” Foldable Pet Bed for 2.5 years, and it still looks as good as the day we got it! Our two big bulldogs practically live in this bed—they lounge, play, and even stash their toys in it. We have the queen size, and it fits them perfectly.

I recently attended Contingenci’s DIY Workshop: Upcycle and Customize, and it was an incredible experience! I brought in a skirt that doubled as a dress but rarely made it out of my closet. With the help of the Contingenci team, we transformed it into a stylish bandeau and matching skirt—now I can wear it twice as often!
Beyond clothing, they also provided rescued stuff sacks to customize, which we now use to keep our dog supplies organized in the car. Throughout the workshop, CEO Linda and the team guided us through the upcycling process, sharing insights on how they rescue materials and why sustainability matters. Their passion and expertise were inspiring, and I already have ideas for my next project!

Contingenci lead a fun and creative workshop where we got to create custom bags, scarves, and more as a group! Learned alot about their perspectives on sustainability, circular economies and how they operate as a business.
I love building from recycled sources and as someone who saves all my scraps- I appreciate and see the value in a company that focuses on using recycled materials to create new and functional products. Linda - Mark - Sakinah and crew were so friendly and helpful. Not much for getting out often but I definitely enjoyed my time at this workshop.
My kitties love their new cat scratching post. I had a blast up cycling these materials to make this happen - I loved getting creative and saving the planet with a fun group of people 🌎
Linda and the whole crew rocked, they were so welcoming and lovely. Great energy in the whole space, everyone was super helpful, patient and collaborative. I love the cat tree I made, will definitely come back for another workshop.
This review is LONG overdue. We've been using Contingenci's cage pads, along with the quick-dry fleece cover, in our clinic kennels for at least a couple of months now, and they're awesome. When puppies or older dogs have accidents and urinate or defecate on the pads, all we need to do is remove the waste, take off the fleece covering, and toss it in the wash! Then, we spray down the cage pads themselves, although I personally haven't even seen any waste soak through onto the cage pads at all.
Not only are the pads & covers efficient in terms of cleaning and reusing, but they're so comfortable; our clinic cat actually intentionally jumps into unoccupied kennels just to fall asleep on the pads. In the included picture, I put my own dog in the kennel to see what he'd do, and he immediately laid down and got comfortable on the cage pad.
I think it's awesome that not only are these products actually useful and well-designed, but also beneficial to the long-term goal of creating less environmental damage. The fleece covers are easy to wash, on a quick cycle, and dry so quickly that it's almost magical.
We love Contingenci's products overall, especially the cage pads and the fleece covers!

Our dog LuLu is a 20 pound mini doodle. As soon as we gave her the new bed hopped on it and it has been her favorite dog bed ever. She always prefers this bed over her others. The re-washable fleece topper is an awesome idea (especially for dogs that shed). The materials are soft, colors are awesome and knowing that we are helping the environment by using repurposed materials is the cherry on top. Highly recommend this dog bed! Contingenci is an awesome company with great people - we need more companies like them in our world. :)
Coming from someone who has worked in the vet field for quite a while now, this was a complete game changer. Not only does it give comfort to regular patients but it’s so beneficial for surgery patients giving them that extra bit of cushioning for comfort. It’s so easy to clean as well. Product is amazing!
The soft padding really helps our patients rest easy after a big surgery like a tplo. The pile of towels we use to have on the floor is no longer there! I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the laundry load.
The fitted covers makes the changing and cleaning time so much more efficient!

I attended this workshop as part of an alumni event. This workshop exceeded my expectations. All the associates who work here are so efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. Beatriz, Bernice, Linda and Sakinah were so wonderful. They were extremely helpful with tailoring my bottle holder and fanny pack.
I enjoyed my time here and learned quite a bit about reusing fabric and making clothing more sustainable. Thank you all for all the wonderful work you do and for creating such wonderful gear😊

My 5 year old daughter and I had the best Sunday at the workshop today! Linda and everyone here were so helpful and encouraging the whole time. They taught my daughter how to repurpose one of her old favorite dresses into the cutest 2 piece outfit! We had the best time with Linda and her whole work family! We’ll be back again for sure
Their mission is to end garment waste! Teaching the community how to revive their current closet and having a connection to your clothes which is the closest thing to your body is very eye opening.
