We’ve been using the cushions and fleece covers since spring. They have absolutely cut down on cage flipping time and laundry. One issue we ran into was for our rabbit patients the hay would get stuck in the fleece. When I brought this issue up to Linda she recommended using the reverse side of the fleece to mitigate the hay getting stuck. She also recommended the brush pictured for hair. Believe it or not, it gets the hay out perfectly too!
Love the custom fit. It slides in effortlessly but is also leaves no space for our patients to fall through. It holds warmth for our post op patients and is easy enough to clean because of the many layers of this setup.
This review is LONG overdue. We've been using Contingenci's cage pads, along with the quick-dry fleece cover, in our clinic kennels for at least a couple of months now, and they're awesome. When puppies or older dogs have accidents and urinate or defecate on the pads, all we need to do is remove the waste, take off the fleece covering, and toss it in the wash! Then, we spray down the cage pads themselves, although I personally haven't even seen any waste soak through onto the cage pads at all. Not only are the pads & covers efficient in terms of cleaning and reusing, but they're so comfortable; our clinic cat actually intentionally jumps into unoccupied kennels just to fall asleep on the pads. In the included picture, I put my own dog in the kennel to see what he'd do, and he immediately laid down and got comfortable on the cage pad. I think it's awesome that not only are these products actually useful and well-designed, but also beneficial to the long-term goal of creating less environmental damage. The fleece covers are easy to wash, on a quick cycle, and dry so quickly that it's almost magical.
